A beautifully crafted, British made star bolt thumb turn. Comprising of a “star” shaped spindle with a thumbturn to turn it, this thumb turn is fitted over a mortice/star/rack bolt. Just turn the knob to throw the bolt, rather than having to lock mortice/star/rack bolts with a “star key”.

These mortice bolt thumbturns are traditionally made here in the UK and finished by hand, so you can be assured that each one is truly unique.

Every star bolt thumb turn is individually quality checked at the end of the authentic manufacturing process and doesn’t leave the factory until the smoothness of movement and finish quality has been checked.

These are very high quality, solid brass mortice bolt thumbturns, which are available in a full range of finishes (see below), so will suit almost any style of decor. Choose from one of the many aged and antique finishes for an antique star bolt thumb turn or one of the plated finishes, such as chrome or nickel, for a more contemporary look. The plated and applied finishes are applied to the brass thumb turn and finished by hand, guaranteeing an exceptional finish quality.
