Description

An insurance graded rim deadlock, which comes with a “double bitted” cylinder lock and key. This lock works in a very similar way to a nightlatch, but has a bolt rather than latch.

This rim deadlock is up to the new European standards; British Standard 3621 2007 and comprises a 20mm “throw” on the anti-saw bolt, which locks automatically on closing the door.

These locks used to be sold as Chubb locks, but are now manufactured under the name Union C-Series. This is because Assa Abloy (the owners of the Chubb, Yale and Union brands) no longer produce any locks under the Chubb name. They are the same locks, made by the same people in the same factories and so will fit as an exact replacement for the old Chubb 4L67 range.

High security features in the design include drill, saw, pick and torque resistance and an internal lockable handle. This makes this lock ideal for all types of front doors, in particular glazed doors, as the lockable handle cannot be operated through a smashed window.
