A British made, cast brass escutcheon from Kirkpatrick, manufactured in a traditional English ironfoundry.

An escutcheon is used as a keyhole cover; it is the plate fitted to cover the keyhole, to give a decorative finish.

These cast brass escutcheons are traditionally made here in the UK and finished by hand.

Kirkpatrick’s long tradition of manufacturing means that they have a style and authenticity which is lacking in the cheap imitations which are available. Their workforce is skilled in the traditional methods of production, which have not changed in essence over the last 156 years.
