Part of the beautiful Robert Adam range of window and door furniture; these very highly decorative door handles are hand-crafted, cast from premium grade, solid brass and mounted on a decorative round rose.

This is the 125mm lever version of this handle; a 140mm lever is also available.

Robert Adam was a Scottish neoclassical architect and interior designer. A leader of the first phase of the classical revival in England and Scotland from around 1760 until his death, he influenced the development of Western architecture, both in Europe and North America.

He left for Rome in 1754, spending nearly five years on the continent studying architecture, where he was greatly influenced by his "grand Tour" of Italy. On his return to Britain he established a practice in London, where he was joined by his younger brother James. Here he developed the "Adam Style" and his theory of "movement" in architecture, based on his studies of antiquity. Here he became one of the most successful and fashionable architects in the country.

The "Robert Adam" range of door furniture reflects the magnificent neo-classical interiors that he became renowned for. The unique surface features and motifs, along with the distinctive edge details, set this range apart from its contempories in the period.

These authentic period handles can recreate an accurate historical scene in buildings of importance, whilst also putting that perfect finishing touch to areas of new interior design.

These handles are screw-fixed in the traditional style, with screws visible.

This handle can be used as either an exterior or interior door handle.

Although normally fitted as an internal lever-latch door handle (as it has no keyhole) it can also be used on external doors and on doors with sashlocks (if using on a sashlock, please also remember to order escutcheons to cover the keyhole).

It can be supplied as either a solid brass door handle (choose from lacquered or unlacquered) or in one of the range of plated or applied finishes.

The plated and applied finishes range from both antique to contemporary, so will suit almost any style of decor. Choose from a range of brass, chrome and nickel finishes, in antique, polished or satin styles.

These handles are also available in gold or silver plate.

Silver door handles are available as either silver plated handles or antique silver door handles.

Gold door handles are available in either Titanium Gold or in Antique Gold Plate.

Titanium gold handles are supplied in a gold coloured PVD finish. PVD stands for “Physical Vapour Deposition”, this is a state-of-the-art process where molecules of hardwearing metals are deposited onto the handle surface. This microscopic layer protects the finish from discolouration. This protective layer makes this gold door handle especially suitable for use in normally high wear-and-tear situations, such as stately homes, public buildings, retail establishments, hotels and commercial premises.
