A hand-finished, black antique malleable iron door handle from Kirkpatrick, manufactured in a traditional English ironfoundry.

Each door handle is traditionally made here in the UK and finished by hand, with a two coat, protective finish.

Kirkpatrick’s long tradition of manufacturing means that they have a style and authenticity which is lacking in the cheap imitations which are available. Their workforce is skilled in the traditional methods of production, which have not changed in essence over the last 156 years. Although it is possible to find many similar products available both in the UK and worldwide, the essential difference is that their cast products are whiteheart malleable iron, which is particularly durable and well suited to the manufacture of architectural ironmongery.

This antique black iron door handle can be used as either an interior or exterior door handle, with a choice of different keyways.
