A Victorian oval door knob, mounted on a “covered rose”. A modern and very neat way of mounting a door knob. On this knob the fixing screws are covered by a rose, hiding them from view. This door knob is a traditional style, brought up to date with a contemporary twist.

This Victorian oval door knob can be used as either an exterior or internal door knob.

Although normally fitted as an internal door knob it can also be used as an exterior door knob and on doors with sashlocks (if using on a sashlock, please also remember to order escutcheons to cover the keyhole).

It can be supplied as either a solid brass door knob (choose from lacquered or unlacquered) or in one of the range of plated or applied finishes.

The plated and applied finishes range from both antique to contemporary, so will suit almost any style of decor. Choose from a range of brass, chrome and nickel finishes, in antique, polished or satin styles.

These door knobs are also available in gold or silver plate.

Silver door knobs are available as either silver plated door knobs or antique silver door knobs.

Gold door knobs are available in either Titanium Gold or in Antique Gold Plate.

Titanium gold knobs are supplied in a gold coloured PVD finish. PVD stands for “Physical Vapour Deposition”. This is a state-of-the-art process where molecules of hardwearing metals are deposited onto the door knob surface. This microscopic layer protects the finish from discolouration. This protective layer makes this gold door knob especially suitable for use in normally high wear-and-tear situations, such as stately homes, public buildings, retail establishments, hotels and commercial premises.

Please note, these are handcrafted, British made products which may be made up bespoke for your order. As such, please allow approximately three to four weeks for manufacture and delivery of door knobs in solid brass, applied and plated finishes, or four to five weeks for solid bronze door knobs.
